Close to 75% of Canada’s population lives within 160 kilometers of the United States border, which you can see by the locations of its major cities. There are a few exceptions, however, like that solitary dot way up there in the Northwest Territories, where the average yearly temperature is a toasty negative 4 Celsius. Vancouver, by contrast, is the warmest city in Canada. Finding it on the map, however, is a different matter.
